Terrariums!!!

Ok......so i am definitely the first to admit it, but i have gone totally MAD on terrariums!!!  Terrariums are containers which are designed to hold small plants or animals in controlled environments- of course in my case totally only plants!!!  Terrariums create a 'wee microclimate' and simulates everything from a rainforest to a desert!!  Let me know what you think of mine!!!  I have been busy all week planting up, and the job doesnt come without a few occupational hazzards eg:  CACTUS THORNS!!!  But, its totally worth all the 'jabs' when you see the end results!!  These are a perfect gift, and can be a real talking point, and of course are so super easy to look after!!!!

Flora Tea comes to Wishing Well Flowers

Well, i am so super super stoked that i am finally getting this tea in store!!  It was a amazing find on my recent trip to Scotland, and, like nothing at all i have seen in New Zealand.........so after much  'pestering with hundreds of emails' i have this amazing tea arriving in store in a couple of weeks!!  I wanted to wait untill it arrived, but i am bursting at the seems with excitement, that i had to share it with you all!!!!

I just Loved the purple bridesmaids!!  And did you notice Lisa's purple nail polish!!

The ceremony was held in the round drawing room with stunning views over the firth of Clyde. Katherine and I created two huge candelabra! they were placed on either side of the aisle....

 

Kelston and Ransom, July 2011- Culzean Castle- Scotland

Stolen again from Kim @ Little Botanica!!!  Shes great with words and makes things sound so nice... if only you could hear her saying it all with her Scottish accent... it would really set the mood!!  Thanks again Kim, you ROCK!)

Kelstan and Ransom had a spectacular wedding day at Culzean castle in Ayrshire.

Having arranged their wedding from across the Atlantic... Kelstan and Ransom did a top job and it was truly a fairytale wedding.

Kelstan's style for her wedding was soft and natural but full of opulent colours. She decided upon deep and hot pink, reds and purples with mixed greenery for her bouquet... and this colour pulled through to her venue decoration.

Kelstan's bouquet was a gorgeous mix of luscious colour and scent... we included peonies and scented garden roses with astrania, amaranthus, molucella, freesia, lisianthus, alstromeria and more!

Next was my cute little corsage i created, complete with paua shell all the way from home!! 


And, i am super stoked that i got a personal mention!!!

We were asked to submit a table centre which used roses.... we absolutely love roses!!

So we went straight to our favourite British grower to get some of our favourite scented roses.

If only you could smell them... they are so delicious!!

We used a circular wooden container (which we have salvaged of course!) filled it with seasonal foliage and gorgeous natural greenery... then added our delightful roses....

Sparrow and Rose

Recently on my wonderful trip to Scotland, the awesome Kim from Little Botanica arranged a day for me to work with Lisa from Sparrow and Rose.  Was fantastic to have another perspective on wedding flowers and see the gorgeous flowers she creates (oh and what i helped to create)!!  Here are a few photos of what i helped create that day- the blue hydrangeas were AMAZING!!!!!!!

Another beautiful day in the Naki today, and what a better way to start it than with a couple of fantastic photos!!  Thanks to Amanda Carter Photography for sending me these photos, and thanks to Kelly Watkins for letting me create her flowers for her wedding earlier this year, yummy scrummy calla lilles!!!  And Lisa Bartley for the devine flowers she let me create for her wedding in May this year!! I loved the butterflys, paua and intersting goodies that Lisa let me put into her flowers, made them very unique to her!  Ohhh its getting me all inspired for the wedding season to start again!!!!!!
